Web Challenge - sponsored by Tulis Textiles, Kiwiquilts & Grandmother's Garden

Welcome to the Web Challenge for Quilt Wellington 2009. This is the first time a challenge has been run through a New Zealand Symposium web site so we are going to be very kind to you and only have a few rules...

The finished quilts will be approx 54 inches square and made in the style of a round robin. Each month you will have an update on our web site with instructions for that month. The instructions will run over six months, and at the end of that time you will have five months to quilt your quilt.

At the end of November 2008 we will ask you to email us a photo of your finished quilt. The quilts will then be put on our web page and you can all vote for your favourite online, up to the end of January 2009. We will have the ones with the most votes shown at our exhibition and judged by our panel of judges. There will be a prize for the quilt that receives the most votes online, plus prizes for the quilts the judges award first and merit places.

The Web Challenge is open to both New Zealand and overseas people who have registered for Quilt Wellington 2009. There will be no charge for entering your quilt into this challenge. (If your quilt is chosen to be hung at Quilt Wellington 2009 you will also need to look at the Bernina Quilt Wellington 2009 Exhibition Conditions of Entry points 1 to 5, 13 to 19, and 23 to 25.)
